LAMBORGHINI PRESENTS EGOISTA: CELEBRATING 50 YEARS in GRAND STYLE

They might be 50, but their automobiles look younger and fiestier than ever: we are talking about Lamborghini, the world famous luxury sports car manufacturer who are now celebrating 50 years in business.

Founded in Bologna, Italy, by Ferruccio Lamborghini, who had gained mechanical experience during World War II, the company exhibited the first prototype to the public at the Turin Auto Show of 1963. The car was called “350GT”, and it was a huge success: over 130 were sold, and history was in the making….
During the 60s, Lamborghini became a legend, taking advantage of the post-war economy boom and since then its fame has remarkably continued. Today, it is still a world -wide famous make with an increasing international orientation.
Lamborghini drivers come from Japan, from the Middle East, from the US: everybody seems to have fallen in love with the magnificent Italian born cars: since 1963, Lamborghini has been teaching the world what luxury cars are, from its first model, the 350 GT to the last and newest concept, the “Countach”.

The renowned car manufacturer celebrated its glorious fifty anniversary with numerous activities and events: on May 10th, more than 300 Lamborghini automobiles, from almost 30 different countries gathered in Bologna for the largest Lamborghini meeting of its whole history, with a 3,000 km tour among the beautiful Bologna hills.

During the official dinner, Lamborghini presented an incredible one-off model; the Lamborghini “Egoista”. Later it was announced that the public was astonished and incredibly happy. We can understand why…
The Lamborghini Egoista was inspired by a military aircraft design. Its performance is actually comparable with a 600HP, 5.2-liter V10 engine.

This amazing automobile will undoubtedly remain a dream car for everybody. It is not clear how many Egoistas’ will be produced by the company. However, rumors claims that only 2 Egoista cars will be produced, and they will be sold to a Middle East businessman…

“I want to build the perfect car”, Ferruccio Lamborghini, founder of the company once said.
Well, he definitely fulfilled his burning ambition.
